In this rugby podcast saturated society that we live, it can hard to narrow down the very best of what is out there.
Thankfully we've compiled a list of the best rugby podcasts that are available. They range from Irish centric shows to ones that have more of an international outlook, and some that have a more humorous tone than others.
Best Rugby Podcasts - The Molecast
This one is brought to you by the lads behind the superb Demented Mole blog. While their blogs posts may be sparse these days, their last one was over a year ago, they have thankfully been releasing regular podcasts.
It's an Irish centric, with perhaps a slight focus on Leinster at times, done by three experienced fans with balanced takes and knowledgeable insight, and they are always good for informative rugby anecdote or comparison from the past.

Best Rugby Podcasts - Blood and Mud
This podcast has been running for a fair few years, and his hosted by Lee Calvert and the self-proclaimed rugby shirt enthusiast Josh Gardner.
Like The Molecast it is run by two knowledgable rugby fans, but has a more humorous and lighthearted take on the week's rugby. Out of all of the podcasts in this list it is by far the funniest, and some of it's long-running segments include the SHIT/GOOD ratings and the 'Cuthbert/Plisson Shit Watch Cup.'
Expect insight and amusing takes on everything from the Gallagher Premiership to internationals and Champions Cup rugby.

Best Rugby Podcasts - Provincial State of Mind
This podcast is the newest of the five, and was started by the three of the most popular Munster rugby twitter accounts; Three Red Kings, The Loose Head, and Overthehillprop.
They provide expert and detailed tactical analysis of the four provinces and the national side, and shed light on intricate areas of the game which the common fan may not notice or understand.

Best Rugby Podcasts - The Squidge Rugby World Cup Retrospective
Squidge is on of the most recognisable online analysts in the game, made famous for his incredibly detailed and punchy videos where he dissects the biggest matches from across the rugby sphere.
While his podcast is certainly overshadowed by his YouTube channel, it is no less engaging. It is co-hosted by Will Owen and they often have on other social media rugby guests. Each episode hones in on a specific match from a World Cup. They are currently covering the 1987 edition, but have also been through the 2011 World Cup and the 2009 Lions Tour.
It can get very niche covering pool stage games between France and Zimbabwe, but this is the allure of the show, and it is always fun and informative.

This is it. After 47 episodes, this week the Squidge Rugby retrospective podcast finally reaches the 2011 Rugby World Cup Final, dissected in full across two hours of Dusautoir and detail, available now from your preferred app or right here-https://t.co/fQftEsMmOr pic.twitter.com/CoigoTKehF

Best Rugby Podcasts - The Rugby Pod
The show is part of the vast Ringer podcast network, and is hosted by ex-internationals and cult heroes Andy Goode and Jim Hamilton.
Both players are cut from the same old-school cloth, and light-hearted booze related banter is often on the agenda. This might not be to everyone's taste but they do give a fascinating first-hand look to the behind the scenes world of professional rugby and always have interesting guests.
Recently they have spoken to the Ulster forwards coach and the youngest coach in the URC, Roddy Grant, and the head coach of URC Champions the Stormers, John Dobson.
