It's a pivotal week for Munster Rugby. Their European fate will be decided in a challenging trip to Premiership table toppers Northampton on Sunday afternoon. It also appears we're also set to receive imminent confirmation on whether club legend Peter O'Mahony will be involved with the club next year.
Munster go into the game on the back of a middling victory over Cardiff at Thomond. Historically, Munster are the most dangerous when they've been written off, but on form anyway, they're facing a massive challenge this weekend.
It's been a challenging season no doubt for Munster, between a terrible injury run and the high profile departures of RG Snyman, Joey Carberry, and the possible departure of Antoine Frisch. O'Mahony's confusing contract situation likely hasn't helped.
With all that in mind, it's no surprise to hear talk of unhappiness in the Munster camp.
Jackman -rumours say Munster camp 'not a great environment at the moment'
Speaking on the RTÉ Rugby Podcast Bernard Jackman says that from what he's heard, the camp isn't happy with how this season has gone and the uncertainty around some players.
The rumour mill says that it is not a very happy camp to be fair. And that was all the talk before the match on Saturday night. Professional rugby is still in a very mixed place, a majority of clubs are going through that transition of stalwarts leaving and contract situations being up in the air etc.
Antoine Frisch, you look at a player like that and it's no one's fault but certain teams go through that transition at different times. That's certainly been the rumours coming out of camp, that it's not a very happy place, not a great environment at the moment, but I understand why but more importantly you'd like to see a big performance this weekend to show it hasn't taken away the goal from Munster which is to win.

Bernard Jackman thinks that Munster's performances are being affected by off-field issues.

There was some interesting contact news today for Munster as it was confirmed that Conor Murray will remain at the club until 2025. The Irish international along with Jack Daly and Brian Gleeson all signed on in a move towards more stability at Limerick.
Peter O'Mahony's future still remains unknown though Denis Leamy told reporters there'd be 'white smoke' shortly on this matter.
