The Pro14 got plenty of press outside of the usual circles on Friday evening and Saturday morning after it was revealed Ospreys hooker Scott Baldwin missed his side's game against the Cheetahs after he was bitten by a lion during the week.
The game against the Cheetahs took place in Bloemfontein. It was the Welsh side's first visit to South Africa for a match since the league's hasty expansion during the summer.
News that what was once the Pro12 has bulged to become the Pro14 following the addition of the Cheetahs and Southern Kings is yet to reach some parts of the BBC.
On BBC Radio 4 on Saturday morning, just before Monty Don imparted some gardening knowledge to listeners, it was reported that the Ospreys had been in South Africa not for a competitive league game but a pre-season fixture.
The Wales and Ospreys rugby player Scott Baldwin has been described as 'pretty stupid' by his coach after it emerged he would miss the next few weeks of the season after being bitten by a lion.
Baldwin had attempted to pat the animal at a game lodge on a pre-season tour in South Africa.
