Another week, another serious injury for Leinster. The narrow 14-13 victory over Harlequins on Saturday may have kept qualification hopes alive but it has come at something of a cost with confirmation that Rhys Ruddock will miss up to six weeks with a broken arm.
Pictures of flanker in a sling at the end of the game were far from encouraging and team manager Guy Easterby today confirmed that Ruddock would miss the upcoming interprovincial games in the Pro12.
Rhys broke his arm. It looks like he will be out for about four to six weeks.
Although there are no other fresh injury concerns ahead of Friday's clash with Connacht, Ruddock now joins Sean O'Brien on what has been a busy injury list and Easterby admitted that the cumulative effect of a large number of injuries has taken it's toll so far this year.
There are bumps and bruises around the camp but nothing else significant and anyone who is sore from the weekend should be available. Last year we had a really good year where we didn’t pick up as many injuries as we had this year, that is just the way it goes sometimes.
