I can guarantee Joe Molloy, and everyone else who was listening to Neil Francis' comments on homosexuality in sport a couple of weeks ago, were not expecting to hear him reviewing Swan Lake but yes, it has happened.
Francis gave his review to the Mooney Show on RTE Radio One after he attended the ballet as part of his 'penance' with his wife, Brenda Donoghue from the Mooney Show and ballet expert Stephen Brennan.
After watching Swan Lake, Francis said 'I'm glad I came, I thought it was a great show. The dancing was superb and dancing, you know, wouldn't be my bag.' However, it didn't sound like he was all that blown away 'I'm very glad I came but I think I probably saw two ballet productions tonight, my first and my last.'
Overall, he gave it 7/10. You can listen to his review below and the full piece here.
