The sporting world is reeling from the tragic news that Anthony Foley has passed away at the age of 42. Anthony passed away overnight in Paris, and Munster's Champions Cup game with Racing 92 has been postponed.
The tragic news broke during Ulster's game with Bordeaux. Sky informed their viewers of the news upon the return from a commercial break. Alan Quinlan left the studio to return home. Tyrone Howe gave an exceptionally poignant to Foley on air, fighting back tears. Howe spoke beautifully, telling of he was a "big man", but not the kind of big man found in a gym. Howe found him "generous" and one of the "heartbeats of everything that's good about Munster rugby".
Stuart Barnes was due to commentate on the game for Sky in Paris, and he too spoke eloquently of his memories of Axel. Barnes called Foley one of the "great men" of Irish rugby.
