Last night, David Wallace told the Irish Independent that he believed that the IRFU should seek to have Andy Farrell installed as Munster defence coach.
As a team, all season we've been leaking tries, dominating possession for large parts of the game and teams get the ball and score too easily. It's been happening all season. I know Andy Farrell is coming to Ireland.
It would be great to secure him, to bring him down to Munster when he's not involved with Ireland and have his influence with Munster.
No sooner had these comments been published that the rumours have emerged that this is precisely what the IRFU have in mind. The Limerick Post sport editor Donn O'Sullivan has tweeted that Farrell is to take up an interim role with Munster. The announcement will be made today.

This will likely help further in changing the initially underwhelmed attitude to Farrell's appointment by the IRFU.
"I think it's an excellent appointment." Andy Farrell's move to @IrishRugby is a shrewd signing says @dallaglio8. https://t.co/VjPoXLexdb
