Ireland have defeated Scotland 17-13 to claim their second successive Six Nations title and while Andy Farrell was over the moon in his post-match interview he couldn't help but remind Tommy Martin of Virgin Media about the questions he'd asked of Ireland in his pre-match interview.
Today's victory over Scotland certainly wasn't one of Ireland's most impressive performances but when push came to shove their defence was robust and their attack, while imperfect did enough to propel them ahead of Scotland at key points in the match.

The big question before the game was how Ireland would respond after the loss in Twickenham. There was a title to be won today, but the defeat to England exposed some flaws in the Ireland game.
In his pre-match interview with Virgin Media, Martin asked Farrell about criticism that the team and coaching staff had faced during the week.
"I know that he's ready for a big performance today. I suppose there'll always be speculation."

The Ireland coach took the question well but he also must have filed it away in his mind. A few hours later, when Martin was interviewing the head coach of the Six Nations champions, he asked about the team's reply to the criticism they'd faced during the week.
Farrell couldn't resist reminding Martin about his earlier question.
"Well there was criticism from you before the game!"
🗣 "This is what it's all about."
🗣 "Life is all about memories."
🗣 "Stuff like this is what dreams are made of."

It was all good-natured and despite the fun between the pair, Farrell was clearly overjoyed with his teams second consecutive Six Nations title.
This is what it's all about, getting yourself into a position to win a championship is pretty special and life's all about memories isn't it and stuff like this is what dreams are made of, for our players to be able to go back-to-back is pretty tough and so proud of the boys and everyone involved.
There's a reason why a back to back (Grand Slam) has never been done and you look at all competitions like the World Cup somebody normally loses....but that's why the Six Nations is so special and why it means so much to us.
Andy Farrell must now look ahead to Ireland's summer internationals in South Africa where they'll have to improve on today's standard if they're to have a shot against Rassie Erasmus's Springboks.
