Andrew Conway dotted down in the corner for Munster to round off a superb PRO12 semi-final victory over the Ospreys, and it turns out he was almost within arm's length of his biggest fan.
Young William Murphy watched Conway crash over for the game's final try fresh off submitting a school project regarding the history of his beloved rugby team. Conway was declared William's hero in the project, and unbeknownst to the young man, his mother sent the Munster flyer a copy.
Chuffed with receiving such a lofty billing in a doubtless fine piece of work, Conway arranged to meet up with William after Munster's semi-final - which William attended as a birthday present from his parents. The young fan was completely unaware that the present was about to get infinitely better.
Conway came good on his word, and even signed his match jersey before giving it to a speechless birthday boy and posing for a photo. William's dad, William Sr, relayed the tale to the Munster Rugby Supporters Club on Facebook:
Andrew Conway is a class act. Please @Munsterrugby + @MRSC16 pass on good wishes to him. Lovely thing to do here. pic.twitter.com/8itO0ALjOB

William's father and Mrs. Murphy will be hard pushed to beat this year's birthday present in future, but Conway's gesture might keep the heat off them for a few years yet.
