Gatland starts with a classic posture of reconciliation with the caveat of being totally right. BOD maintains the best air of indifference he can with a slight Goodfellas pose. Paulie feints disinterest in the background but his heart is racing at the possible outcome.
Gatland can only keep up the reconciliation act for a second and moves into full "them's the breaks" mode. BOD still maintains his dignity and advances his hand. The two finally come into contact. Paulie hasn't a notion what Graham Rowntree is saying at this stage and is hoping BOD commits everything he can to the handshake.
Gatty is in full patronizing mode now and is remembering Jonathan Davies' stats. BOD has applied a slight squeeze and the veneer of dignity is waning. Paulie has ended his charade of disinterest and has adopted a bouncer at 2am stance. The handshake passes. A fragile peace endures. For now.
