In the wake of the most heartbreaking of defeats, Ronan O'Gara was adamant that we'll beat New Zealand the next time we face them, and that match could be sooner than one might think.
We're not scheduled to face New Zealand again until 2018 but according to The Daily Star, the IRFU are considering asking them for a rematch next year. It would have to take place outside of the IRB Test window but it could bag our governing body a cool €1m – not to mention the excitement a chance at revenge would create.
The idea is not unheard of, considering Wales and Australia's match last weekend and I'm sure the likes of Gordon D'Arcy and others who might not be around in five years time are biting at the bit to have one last go at the All Blacks.
One thing's for sure, I can't take another emotional epic like we had a couple of weeks ago.
