The passing of former All Black Jerry Collins back in June hit the rugby world hard. Collins and his wife, Alana, were killed in a car crash in the south of France and the tributes that were paid to the 34 year old summed up the high regard in which he was held across the world.

Collins was an icon in his home country and it's no surprise that one of his teammates' first callings when they were back on New Zealand soil was to pay a visit to his graveside with the Webb Ellis cup.

Ma'a Nonu and Dan Carter shared photos from Collins' grave as the pair, along with Sonny Bill Williams, Jerome Kaino and Liam Messam chose to say happy birthday to Collins with a welcome visitor.

Good to share this one with the brother. Love you JC.

A fitting tribute to a wonderful man and rugby player.
