Johnny Sexton is the most competitive man you are ever likely to find on the rugby pitch, but it can result in him getting himself into trouble at times.
That is especially true when it comes to referees. While officials take very little backchat in rugby, the Ireland captain can often push the envelope a bit when it comes to getting decisions to go the way of his team.
Of course, some claim his words can often have the opposite effect in turning referees against Ireland or Leinster.
Sexton was up to his old tricks early in the clash against New Zealand this afternoon, continually asking questions about incidents that would happen during phases of play.

It began to get on the nerves of referee Luke Pearce, who told Sexton to concentrate on the game instead of complaining about decisions.
However, Pearce also was not a fan of a comment from All Black hooker Dane Coles. After the official gave Sexton a telling off, Coles would tell Pearce that the Irishman was a "mouthy c**t".

Coles: He’s a mouthy c**t, isn’t he?
Pearce: Hey, careful. Careful.
It's great to see a bit of needle in big games such as this one. It was a playful comment, but Pearce wasn't going to let it go any further than that.
Of course, New Zealand are well capable of pushing the boundaries with the officials themselves, with some of their players down through the years renowned for their ability to partake in the dark arts of the game.
As Sexton and many others have proven, you will need a little bit of that in your game if you are to become one of the greats.
