Stan Wright was a legend at Leinster Rugby. The tighthead prop was once the Cooks Islands best paid athlete, and was part of Leinster's breakthrough team that won the Heineken Cup in 2009, and was on the bench for the miracle game against Northampton.
Wright, along with Bernard Jackman and Ollie le Roux; were part of a dynamic front-row that was beloved by Leinster fans. The Cook Islander left Leinster after Mike Ross supplanted him, and joined Stade Francais in 2011.
Now there could be a reunion in the French Alps that will warm the hearts of Leinster fans everywhere. Midi Olympique are reporting that Paul O'Connell has said no thanks on the offer to coach the Grenoble forwards, but Stan Wright is all for it:
Wright continued his playing career in France after his Leinster days, playing for Stade, Narbonne, and Oyonnax until this season.
That's the type of good news story that will get you through a Friday of a bank holiday weekend.
