3. Ireland's outhalf, Nora Stapleton, only took up rugby in 2009 at the age of 25. According to Chris McNulty in the Donegal News. While working for the Bank of Ireland, she went along to play tag rugby 'for a bit of craic.' The following year, she made her international debut.
4. It is the first time ever an Irish international team has beaten New Zealand at a 15-a-side game.
