One of the most gruesome injuries in recent time happened in the latest Barbarians game on Tuesday night, picture here (Warning: you WILL feel queasy).
Former Ireland U20 player Davy McGregor was on the end of the worst injury we've seen in two years. Fortunately for him, (and our stomachs) it looks like McGregor has had a good patch up job.
It's not nearly as bad to look at, but it's definitely obvious that ears are not meant to be like that. It's a proper front row cauliflower ear that John Hayes would be proud of.
A bit chunky but a tidy job. @JOEdotie @Eat_Sleep_Rugby @ballsdotie. now for the final Saturday with @HeriotsRugby 🙈 pic.twitter.com/jDovn65qdm

As neat and tidy as it looks compare to what it was, it's not a patch on the best ear patch-up work in rugby:
@davy_mcgregor @JOEdotie @ballsdotie @HeriotsRugby by the looks of things you need the Dave Attwood leech technique! pic.twitter.com/BhssK94IKG
