Rhys Ruddock Injury
Leo Cullen has confirmed that Rhys Ruddock will be out for the rest of the season. The Ireland and Leinster flanker is a big part of Joe Schmidt's plans, and it's unclear whether he will be back in time for the Rugby World Cup in six months time.
It appears that Ruddock has failed to recover from the broken arm sustained in the Champions Cup game against Harlequins last December, despite making a return to Leinster duty against Ospreys and the Scarlets earlier this month.
Ruddock played an important part of Ireland's highly successful November international series victories over South Africa and Australia that saw Schmidt's side rise to 3rd in the world and is highly rated among provincial and international circles.

Leinster and Ireland aren't short of backrow replacements with Dominic Ryan, Jordi Murphy and Tommy O'Donnell all able candidates to replace Ruddock and provincial and/or international level.
Ruddock was a big candidate for a World Cup squad place, but could be up against it with Jordi Murphy and Tommy O'Donnell pushing hard after impressive Six Nations campaigns.
