Nick Williams has been cited for the incident that left Rhys Patchell hospitalised in the Ulster v Cardiff game in which Williams received only a yellow card.
It's rare in any sport that every single person and supporters for both teams agree on one common thing. But on Friday night, it happened. Ulster's Nick Williams was given a yellow card for an incident that stopped the game for several minutes, as medics tended to Cardiff's Rhys Patchell, who had to stay in hospital overnight as a result.
Patchell was taken to hospital with a suspected concussion and was also treated for a jarred neck.
The good news is that Patchell was well enough to have travelled home to Cardiff on Saturday morning.
Here is the incident:
Cardiff Blues coach Dale McIntosh was not pleased, and thinks Williams should have been sent off for the challenge:
"A forearm to the head? It should be a red card. I've done it enough, I should know" Blues' Dale McIntosh on Williams' clash with Patchell

There was almost universal support from fans watching from both teams and neutrals:
Really, really don't like that hit on Patchell.
Can't/ shouldn't deliberately target a players' head.

Also saw the Rhys Patchell incident with Nick Williams. At best reckless, at worst downright thuggery. Must say, didn't look good at all.

If someone did what Nick Williams did to Patchell to one of our guys we would be looking for a red and lengthy ban.... #perspective

@BHHooker @ConorNeville @ballsdotie should have been a red Patchells head was out the side and exposed Williams went in with a cheap shot

There were a few that didn't agree, including those commentating for BBC NI:
Nick Cunningham said Nick Williams tried to clear out Patchell. No he tried to take his fecking head off
