That was some day of rugby. Ireland managed to surpass the points difference that Wales had posted earlier, and now there is a horrible wait to see if it's enough. This is a nerve wracking seven hours or rugby.

After Wales set Ireland a target of 20 points to pass, Ireland did it with ease. Ireland won the game 40 points to ten, thanks to tries from Paul O'Connell, Sean O'Brien and Jared Payne while penalties from Johnny Sexton meant that Ireland have set England a target of 26 points.
