Joe Schmidt has quite a reputation after earning silverware every year for the last seven seasons as a coach and leading Ireland to ten straight wins and a ranking of third in the world. It appears though, that some of the opposition for this Saturday aren't impressed.

Famous Scottish legend Jim Telfer, isn't a fan of Joe Schmidt. Telfer, most known amongst rugby fans nowadays for his famous "Everest pre-match speech" on the Lions 1997. Telfer thinks that despite Schmidt's impressive record, that he was outsmarted by Wales coach Warren Gatland last week where Schmidt looked very ordinary.

Ireland will be attempting to win back to back Six Nations championship for the first time in 65 years against Scotland, after the setback against the pumped up welsh last week.

In his "Telfer Talk" show on the Daily Record, Telfer offers his thoughts on the Scotland and Ireland teams, and thinks that Scotland will record a morale boosting win at the end of the tournament as the international rugby moves towards the World Cup at the end of the year.

Telfer thinks it'll be a tough game for Scotland this weekend, because Ireland play a method acting type of rugby that doesn't go off script very often that relies on Johnny Sexton for some inspiration. That said, despite the quality of Tommy Bowe, Paul O'Connell and Johnny Sexton, Telfer thinks Ireland aren't world beaters, and that the centres Robbie Henshaw and Jared Payne are just there to bash it up.
