France vs Australia looked like it would be the pick of this weekend's November internationals and so it has proved. France are displaying some of their best free flowing rugby and the Australian defence are allowing them to do so. Australia clawed their way back to some extent but France's electric start bodes well for Ireland ahead of the Wallabies visit to the Aviva next Saturday.
There has been a lot to be impressed about the French attack, particularly Teddy Thomas, the 21 year old wing who grabbed a hat-trick of tries on his debut against Fiji last weekend. His pace has once again caused serious problems and this try (France's second) was an example of why he has been so highly touted. Perhaps more importantly for Ireland, it's also an example of how the Australian defence can be breached.
