For the second time in three weekends, Dave Dennis has been involved in a impactful tackle. This came with rather worse consequences however.
The New South Wales Waratahs were destroying the Queensland Reds in the Australian derby, and in the last 6 minutes, Lachlan (Lachie) Turner, an ex-Waratah, retrieved a kick and went looking for contact.
Unfortunately he decided to duck just as Dennis was approaching and his neck was caught in a comprimising position. It was a perfectly legal tackle, but the position of Turner's head means it's a sickening collision.
Thankfully, Turner appeared to be conscious as he was carried off, but the reports are that he was standing on his feet and moving around after the game.
The Waratahs ended up winning the game comfortably 23 points to five.
