Joe Schmidt refused to talk about a possible Grand Slam following Ireland's victory over England. Two more victories, one against Wales in a fortnight and another against Scotland in three week's time will give Ireland their first Grand Slam since 2009.
The New Zealander instead said that he would let Brian O'Driscoll lay on the pressure via social media.
No, I'll wait for Brian O'Driscoll's tweet to put the pressure on me.
What Schmidt was referring to was a tweet from BOD following Ireland's win against France.
Another great win. 2 done 3 to go! This team absolutely has a slam in them and who knows what else...
— Brian O'Driscoll (@BrianODriscoll) February 14, 2015
O'Driscoll actually told Newstalk's Off the Ball that he had texted Schmidt to apologise.
I had to text Joe a couple of days later and say, ‘hey Joe, sorry about that one’.
I got very excitable, what can I do? Don’t go with your emotion.
It seems that it'll take more than that for Joe to forgive him though.
