Laurent Bénézech, the former French international who has been in the news recently as part of Paul Kimmage's magnifying glass gaze into the sport of rugby, has today said that Ireland are taking a big risk by throwing Johnny Sexton head first into Saturday's clash against France.

Ireland is in trouble as playing Sexton after what happened to him is a big mistake. I can tell you already what will be the first way France will use the ball. It will be number nine [Rory Kockott] to [Mathieu] Bastareaud, straight at Johnny Sexton.

Bénézech is of course referring to Sexton's return following an extended lay-off following advice from a neurology specialist that the outhalf should take 12 weeks away from the game following concussion.

Those 12 weeks have passed but now Sexton is being charged with leading Ireland in one of the biggest games of the year and Bénézech went as far as saying that Ireland are risking Sexton's long term health by playing him in the game.

What happens if Johnny Sexton gets another knockout? He is out of rugby, maybe indefinitely.
