Jamie Heaslip will miss Ireland's crucial Six Nations game against England on March 1st after he sustained three fractured vertebrae during the game against France.
The injury was caused by a knee to the back from Pascal Pape.
The French second row apologised to Heaslip via Twitter this evening, saying there was no intention to injure.
Sincèrement désolé d'avoir blessé @jamieheaslip sur cette action de jeu, pas du tout l'intention de lui faire mal. #objectivitépourcertains

Utilising our best Leaving Cert French, here's what he said.
Truly sorry for hurting @jamieheaslip this game action, not at all intend to hurt him.
The Ireland no. 8 accepted the apology, letting Pape know in French.
@pascalpape Merci pour votre message.Le rugby est un joue physique et on accepte que ça peut se passer.Je accepte complètement vos excuses.

Which translates as:
Thanks for your message. Rugby is a physical game and we accept that it may happen. I completely accept your apology.
Pape was sin binned during the game following the incident and has since been cited, meaning he will appear before a disciplinary committee this week.
