Clive Woodward was on the BBC for their coverage of yesterday's Six Nations action. After Ireland's win against France, the World Cup winning coach gave the highest of praise to Joe Schmidt.
Woodward labelled Schmidt as the best coach in rugby and said that he was ultimately the difference between Ireland and France.
I'd put him as the number one coach in world rugby. He's done a great job and between the two teams, from a coaching point of view, Ireland seemed better organised and that's what got them over the line.
The former England coach also spoke about what is required for England to beat Ireland in a fortnight's time while also being very complimentary towards the current Six Nations champions.
The England forwards have to dominate the Irish pack, which will take some doing. The Irish defence was so good, it's whether England have the confidence to unlock that defence. I think they have to kick a bit more. Irish line speed was awesome, but there was space behind. If the England forwards don't arrive in a couple of weeks' time they will get beat.
