France and Scotland look like they are playing out a high quality game, with both backlines looking threatening. It's Scotland who have scored the first try though on the stroke of halftime as replacement winger Dougie Fife crossed in the corner after great work in the buildup by Mark Bennett (twice) and Stuart Hogg.
Bennett and Hogg are looking increasingly lively and influential, while Camille Lopez and Yoann Huget are also looking threatening. Based on today's games, Ireland will be struggling against both France and Scotland. Scotland finally have a threatening backline after years in the wilderness, while France have an outhalf of substance.
Scotland are trailing 9-8 after Greig Laidlaw missed the tricky conversion that hit the post.
