All of Ireland's game at next year's Rugby World Cup in Japan will be shown on RTÉ.
It was announced today that the national broadcaster has agreed a sub-licensing agreement with rights holders, eir Sport.
In total, 14 games will be shown on RTÉ. Along with Ireland's games, RTÉ will also broadcast all knockout stages and the final. There will also be 16 nights of highlights.
All 48 games will be broadcast by eir Sport.
Under government legislation, Ireland's games at the Rugby World Cup must be free-to-air. TV3 was the main broadcaster for the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.
eir Sport won the rights to the tournament in 2016 as part of a package which also included last year's Women's Rugby World Cup, the annual U20 Championships and the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens.
