The pool stages of the tournament sees teams split up into four groups of five with each side playing each other once.

- Draw: two points
- Loss: zero points
- Bonus point: 1 point

A bonus point is when a team scores four or more tries in a game. This means that a team Who wins a match and registers four tries or more are awareded an extra point, awarding them with 5 points instead of the standard 4 points.

How to get bonus point in rugby
They will be awarded as follows:
