Australian pride was not the only casualty at Lansdowne Road on Saturday evening.
The away dressing room at the stadium received thousands of euros worth of damage following an incident with a member of the Wallabies staff and a door.
A spokesperson for the Australian team told the Irish Examiner:
There was an accident after the match involving one of our support staff. We made the IRFU aware of this on the evening of the game and have offered our assistance in any way if required.
The Daily Telegraph say that Michael Cheika was not the man involved. According to The Irish Daily Star, the bill for the damage, which the IRFU is considering sending to the ARU, is €8,000. The Irish Examiner has a lower figure - "a few thousand euro".
After the Wallabies beat Ireland in last year's November internationals, 15 members of the sides were disciplined by then coach Ewen McKenzie following a late night out in Dublin where some consumed €1,500 worth of free alcohol at Krystle.
