The RFU have opened up an investigation into apparent homophobic abuse from sections of the Twickenham crowd at Saturday's test match between England and New Zealand. A letter to the Guardian newpaper revealed that a member of the crowd was shocked at the homophobic crowd; and now the authorities are launching an investigation.
Rugby is known for it's core values, among which is respect. The victim in this case, referee Nigel Owens has taken time out to respond to these developments in the video above. Owens has lauded the actions of the individual who has brought this issue to the world, and hopes rugby can remove some of the poor behaviour which is creeping into the sport.
