Next Saturday, Brian O'Driscoll will play in an Ireland jersey for the final time at home. All week we've been counting down to this momentous day with 02's #thirteen campaign and today we've taken a look through every interweb archive possible to bring you thirteen randomly bloody great things about the man. From dressing up to a Kiss member to leveling Springboks, it's all here.
You can get involved by posting a “thirteen” themed picture with #thirteen to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Each submission will raise €1 for Brian’s chosen charities – Temple Street and the ISPCC (up to €10,000).
1. He showed us an Irish team could win in Paris.
The year was 2000, 28 years had passed since Ireland had last tasted victory in Paris in the Six Nations. A once in a generation talent decided that was long enough. Here is the news from that night. He was bigger than the Taiwan president resigning and Skyfest 2000.
2. He often leveled the biggest player on the field.
We played them (Leinster) in a Celtic League match and lost to them at Lansdowne Road and I remember after the game thinking – because obviously he was this number 13 who had scored all these tries – but I distinctly remember that game and thinking: 'He's hard.' And he has busted me in a few tackles down through the years. - Paul O'Connell
3. This picture.
Ah, they're lovely.
4. He was hipster before hipsters came up with the word hipster:
5. He was a better ankle tap tackler than Peter Stringer.
It wasn't all big hits, BOD ran you down whatever way he could.

6. This video with Paul O'Connell.
The only thing better than an outtake video is a BOD outtake video:
7. His Eric Cantona seagulls and trawler moment.
This would reduce Plato to chin scratching:

13. He'd take a licking and just keep on ticking.
Scott Williams tried a couple of weeks ago:
England tried it in '09, the result was always the same:
