There was huge controversy in the 90th minute in Chelsea's 2-1 Premier League win over West Ham, when the Hammers had a seemingly perfect goal disallowed by VAR.
Jarred Bowen and Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy both went for the same ball, with Mendy reaching it first. However, the keeper failed to catch the ball and instead could only parry it straight to Maxwel Cornet who fired in what he thought was a late equaliser.
Realising his mistake, Mendy clutched his shoulder in pain, after which VAR had advised referee Andrew Madley to check whether Bowen had fouled the goalkeeper.
It is unclear from the footage whether Bowen touched Mendy, but if there was contact it was minimal. Madley deemed it a foul however, and overturned the goal after reviewing it on the screen.
This lead to an enraged David Moyes confronting at the centre circle after full-time, clearly disgusted at the decision. He also labelled the decision as 'scandalous' and 'rotten', in his post-match interview.

David Moyes spoke after the match and did not hold back in his assessment of the decision or the referee.
You have seen it, it is a scandalous decision, absolutely rotten from one of the supposedly elite referees - it doesn't say much about whoever sent him over from VAR as well - it is an unbelievable decision against us.
"We feel we got back to 2-2 and it was not down to anything we have done. I support a lot of the VAR stuff, I actually think the goalkeeper dives, he is faking an injury because he cannot get to the next one - he did the same on the first goal as well. The referee somehow gets that so wrong it is incredible."
