Roy Keane claimed that Manchester United’s 6-3 defeat to Manchester City is a “huge setback” for the club.
Hat-tricks from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden demolished Manchester United in a 6-2 victory for Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad.
Manchester United looked to have turned a corner prior to the international break, with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho back on form, and there was hope Eric Ten Haag’s side could get a result from this game.
However, those hopes were soon dashed when Phil Foden put Manchester City in front after eight minutes, with City cutting through the defence at ease.

The diabolical defending continued as Kevin De Bruyne provided Erling Haaland two goals in three minutes, before Haaland turned provider for Foden’s second to make it 4-0 at the interval.

Ten Haag’s side pulled one back through a brilliant strike from Anthony, but Haaland completed his hat-trick, giving the Norwegian striker his 14th goal of the season.

If one hat-trick wasn’t enough, Foden completed his with just under 20 minutes to go to put City 6-1 in front, giving Manchester United fans nightmares of 2011.
Anthony Martial returned to action with two late goals to put some gloss on the score line, but Guardiola’s side were simply on another level today.
However, Manchester United will be hugely disappointed by today’s defeat, particularly with the goals they have conceded, as they looked so solid in previous games.
While he praised Manchester City’s quality, Roy Keane claimed Manchester United's players should be "embarrassed".

“A goal down after eight minutes, spaces everywhere, they were sloppy in possession," said Roy Keane. "Rashford didn’t get hold of it, just sloppy play. Every time City went forward, they looked like they were going to score.
Man City were magnificent. Watching Man City, it is a pleasure watching them live, they are one of the best teams I’ve ever seen.
"But Man United, a huge setback for them. We were giving them a little bit of praise over the last few weeks but this is a huge step back.
"From the players point of view, they really should be embarrassed. You cant go in 4-0 down in a derby game."
