Roy Keane has claimed that Liverpool's victory over Manchester City could be a turning point in their season.
Liverpool came into today's clash with a point to prove after a disappointing start to the season, with just two wins before today's game.
In a thrilling contest, Liverpool edged the Premier League Champions in a pulsating game that was decided by Mohamed Salah's 75th minute goal.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Roy Keane praised Liverpool for the way they won the game, and believes it could be a turning point in Liverpool's season.

"It was a big lift for the club. The players and the manager obviously have been heavily criticised since the start of the season, rightly so since they haven't been performing to the high standards they set for themselves over the last few years.
It could be a turning point for them. It's the way they won the game.
There was an edge, there was intensity, there was question marks over the team over the last week or two. They've had a good week in Europe.
It was the way they got over the line, it was pretty ugly. Salah had a chance before that, but then the goal he scores, great finish."
Looking a shadow of themselves from last season, today's performance brought the best out of Liverpool.
A clash that has had everything in recent years, and has often been a huge factor in deciding the title, Liverpool found themselves 13 points behind Manchester City at kick-off.
In a game Liverpool desperately couldn’t lose, they started strongly, with Harvey Elliot and Andy Robertson having chances to take the lead.

While he may have been an unstoppable force so far in the Premier League, Erling Haaland was reduced to half chances, with a couple of comfortable saves from Alison his only threats on goal.
With the game tense and both sides looking very even first half, it truly opened up in the second half, with Ederson making a save from an excellent opportunity for Salah, who could’ve passed it to Diego Jota.

At the other end, Manchester City thought they had taken the lead through Phil Foden, but following a VAR review, it was disallowed for a foul on Fabinho.
Chances followed for both sides, with Manchester City looking more dangerous, but Liverpool always a threat on the counter.
Then with 15 minutes remaining, Alison collected a Manchester City free kick, before sending the ball to Salah, who turned Joao Cancelo and slotted it into the corner to give Liverpool the lead.
A HUGE GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL!
