On Wednesday morning, news broke that Chelsea had parted ways with manager Thomas Tuchel. Many felt that it was due to the side's underwhelming start to the 2022/23 campaign, with last night's defeat away to Dinamo Zagreb being the final straw.
Now, it seems as though there could have been some potential disagreements between Tuchel and new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly over potential transfers during the summer.
Despite spending over £250 million pounds on new recruits, it's now being reported that Boehly desperately wanted to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, with Tuchel not as keen.

The Manchester United legend had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all season, but with little to no interest from Europe's elite coming for the Portuguese international, Ronaldo stayed at the club.
Italian journalist Matteo Moretto has said that the first dint in the relationship between Tuchel and the Chelsea owner was caused during transfer window.

To translate: "The first disagreements between Tedd Boehly and Thomas Tuchel were caused by the [transfer] market. The owner of Chelsea had everything agreed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, but the coach ruled him out, prioritizing others like Aubameyang."
Moretto also claims 'something also happened' between the pair during the painstaking and ultimately failed transfer of Jules Koundé.
In the know BILD journo Christian Falk doubled-down on the report, saying Tuchel refused to sign Ronaldo because he would damage the spirit in the Chelsea dressing room.
TRUE✅ the fact that Thomas Tuchel resisted buying @Cristiano Ronaldo was one reason for the bad relationship with Todd Boehly. Boehly wanted Ronaldo. Tuchel said: „He will distroy the Spirit in my dressing room“ @BILD_Sport

Although it may seem extremely premature for the club to sack the manager that they have backed so heavily in the transfer market just a week after the window shut, Boehly clearly wants to make a statement.
Who will replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea?
There's been a few names thrown about on social media as to who should be the man to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, but the emerging favourite is Brighton boss Graham Potter.
Earlier today, Sky Sports News reported that the club had approached Brighton to discuss managerial terms with Potter.
It's now been confirmed that Brighton have given Chelsea permission to talk to Graham Potter, but Chelsea are yet to make any announcement on Tuchel's successor.

Mauricio Pochettino has also been linked with the job, as has former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, although it looks like Graham Potter is Chelsea's priority.
The man in interim charge of Chelsea now is Anthony Barry, former assistant manager for the Irish national team. Barry left his role as Stephen Kenny's number two to take up a coaching role with the Belgian national side.
