Man City have defeated Man United 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium, courtesy of a hat-trick each from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

Despite three second-half goals for Man United, the match was over as a contest before half-time, as Man City took a 4-0 lead into the dressing room.

Such was the utter domination from Man City, coupled with a dreadful performance from Man United, the away fans began to leave in their droves before the first 45 minutes had even finished.

Foden opened the scoring for Man City in the 8th minute, before adding to his tally after 44 and 72 minutes. Haaland completed his hat-trick with goals in the 34th, 37th, and 64th minutes.

For Man United, Antony scored a second-half pearler with a curling shot from 25 yards, while substitute Anthony Martial scored twice to put a small bit of pride on the scoreline.

"Yeah, not bad! We scored six goals! What can I say," said an ecstatic Erling Haaland to Sky Sports after the match. "It's amazing. To win at home, score six goals, it's nice.

"You can feel it all the time. You can see the passes we give each other. We always want to go forward and to attack. It's what I love about the team. In the end, it's amazing. There is nothing more to say."

He shared the man-of-the-match award with teammate Phil Foden, who also spoke to the media after his side's massive win.

"It's a dream come true playing in a derby being a City fan as well. It's been a pleasure to be a part of this team.

"Our determination was from kick-off and we finished our chances."
