This past summer was Liverpool's busiest in recent times when it comes to incomings. With Jurgen Klopp's midfield in desperate need for a refresh to say the least, Liverpool's engine room has a completely different look than it did this time last year.
With the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moving on, focus was quickly turned to replacing them with fresh talent.
The signings of Alexis MacAllister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch look to have paid off if the start of the campaign is anything to go by, but it seems a former teammate of Gravenberch at Bayern Munich could potentially be the newest member of Jurgen Klopp's side.

With just over two months until the January transfer window, it's being reported that Liverpool are already eyeing up a move for one of the Bundesliga's hottest talents.
Liverpool keen on Jamal Musiala
German outlet SPORT BILD is reporting that the Reds are considering a move for Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala. The attacking midfielder is under contract in Bavaria until 2026, but Musiala reportedly isn't interested in extending his current contract.
Reporter Christian Falk confirmed the news on Twitter.
Our Story: FC Liverpool is interested in Jamal Musiala (20) @FCBayern. His agents are currently not talking to the club about extending his contract (Til 2026) with Bayern @SPORTBILD @altobelli13

The 20-year-old has been an integral part of both the Bayern Munich first team and the German national team since his break through and is without a doubt one of the most exciting young talents in world football.
Musiala was born in Germany, but moved to England at the age of seven. He spent time in the youth setups at Southampton and Chelsea, before moving back to Bayern Munich at the age of 16.
Despite representing England at youth level, Musiala opted to represent his birth country at international level and has been a stand out player in an underwhelming German team of late.
Last season, Musiala scored 12 goals and assisted a further 10 in 33 appearances for Bayern Munich.
So far, he has scored 32 goals and provided a further 25 assists for the German champions.
One of his strikes included this last minute winner against Koln on the final day of the season to win the league for Thomas Tuchel's side.
It would be interesting to see what type of position Musiala would play if he did make the move to Anfield, with the youngster normally operating in the 'number 10' role behind Harry Kane at Bayern.
During Jurgen Klopp's tenure, Liverpool have rarely opted for an advanced playmaker in their midfield, with a deep lying defensive midfielder more often than not supported by two more convential number 8s.
Musiala has also been nominated for the 2023 Golden Boy award and should Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool manage to entice the wonderkid away from the Allianz Arena, he'd likely be a massive coup for the Reds.
