Liverpool and Man City played out a scintillating encounter at Anfield Sunday evening, with Liverpool claiming a 1-0 win, courtesy of a second-half Mo Salah strike.
It could, and should, have been more for the home side as Darwin Nunez squandered numerous chances late-on.
Man City had chances of their own, however, and Alisson was forced into making a few superb stops from Erling Haaland.
Mo Salah's 76th minute goal, which was caused by an awful defensive error by Joao Cancelo, was all that separated the two sides after the full-time whistle, and it ends Man City's unbeaten league record, leaving them four points behind table-toppers Arsenal.
While there was a plethora of excellent footy on display, both managers were involved in touchline incidents. Jurgen Klopp was sent to the dressing room for words he had with Anthony Taylor. Meanwhile Man City manager Pep Guardiola says he had coins thrown at him after sarcastically geeing up the Liverpool supporters.
It came after City had a Phil Foden goal disallowed by VAR.

"The crowd tried but they didn't touch me," Guardiola said to BBC Radio 5 Live. "Maybe next time they will be better."
Klopp apologised after being told of the alleged incident in his post-match press conference.
🗣 "I'm sorry. That never should happen."

Liverpool also released a statement condemning 'vile chanting' in the away end.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk spoke to reporters after the match and spoke of the intensity and atmosphere inside Anfield.
"It takes a lot to get the three points.
"It was always going to be very intense. First half I think we played quite well and we didn't give much away.
"Second half we had to defend a bit more but we won and that is the most important thing.
"For both sides it is a lot of running, a lot of communication and who wanted it more. We showed a lot of fight.
"If you drop a slight percentage they will punish you. It was important to get the clean sheet."
"It is always like that. When certain things happen in the game it can add fuel to the fire in a positive way for us. They [the crowd] played a big part and that is what we need for the rest of the season, especially after a difficult start."
