While Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are constantly digging at each other, to the point where it has nearly become tiresome, their latest Twitter exchange has taken their friendly rivalry to new levels, with Carragher taking shots at Neville's character and accusing him of hypocrisy.
The war of tweets began when Carragher complained about people putting Thierry Henry at left wing on their all-time Premier League XIs, to which Gary Neville replied, 'I can see why fans are confused though. He likes that left side', along with a link to a YouTube clip of Carragher getting skinned on the left by Henry during his Liverpool days.
Carragher took his revenge by replying to an earlier Neville tweet with the most cutting insult of the exchange; 'I’m thinking you will call for the Glazers to sell the club, after not saying it once while they paid you.'
The exchange went tit for tat from then on, with Neville sharing screenshots of old Carragher quotes from 2007 where he praised Liverpool's new owners. Carragher then took the argument to the next level once more when he criticised Neville for sacking too managers at Salford City, the club which he owns a share of along with a host of other ex-Man United players.
Carragher also accused Neville of being paid by Man United to be an ambassador for the club, which Neville vehemently denied.

The exhausting exchange eventually ended, with both men probably realising that they did not have the time on what is a busy day of Premier League football.
And while it was all just friendly banter, the digs from Carragher may leave a sour taste in Neville's mouth given the accusations that he was putting forward.
