In what has been a hectic 24 hours in the transfer market deadline day, with both Liverpool and Chelsea frantically bidding to gain his services. Two ironic tweets from Jamie Carragher perfectly sum up the rollercoaster that the Moisés Caicedo transfer saga has been.
Latest Transfer News On Caicedo - Liverpool - Chelsea Saga
The last twenty-four hours has been as chaotic as they come in the world of Transfer Market news. Just a number of days ago, Brighton's Caicedo looked deadset on a move to Stamford Bridge in a deal he'd be negotiating for up to a year.
While Chelsea's two bids were both rejected, talks remained ongoing and it appeared as though Todd Boehly would acquire the services of Moisés Caicedo as intended.
However, that took a dramatic u-turn this morning when it was revealed Brighton had accepted a British record £110 million pound to bring the 21-year-old to Anfield in what was a major blow to Chelsea's hopes of acquiring his services.

Despite that record-breaking agreement, the saga took another complete 180-degree turn only hours later when, it was revealed that Moisés Caicedo had little intention of heading to Liverpool.
Instead, he was set on making the move to London, with reports suggesting he had agreed personal terms with Chelsea as far back as May of this year.
Jamie Carragher tweets sum up Caicedo madness
If ever two tweets summed up the chaotic and frantic nature of a transfer saga, this is them.
Just this morning, Liverpool legend and pundit Jamie Carragher was on Twitter praising the hailing the £110m spent to bring Moisés Caicedo to Liverpool, saying it was 'great business':
110M is a big price for #Caicedo but Liverpool had to pay big as clubs knew they were desperate.
But signing two top young players for 145M & selling two of your older players for 52M is great business!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) August 11, 2023
However, just five hours after that tweet went live regret was setting in for Carragher, with the Sky Sports pundit tweeting quite the contradiction amid the news that even a record-breaking £110m wouldn't be enough to get Caicedo to his beloved Anfield.
110M is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a 21yr old, Boehly has lost his mind yet again. https://t.co/FBHmwUGovy

While Carragher's tweets sum up the situation aptly, his ironic dig at Chelsea seems to have been made in jest after Carragher pleaded with one Chelsea fan page to explain that it's a joke: 'Could you inform the fanbase it's a joke. I'm there next Sunday'.
Where Caicedo will end up remains unclear and while for now it looks like Chelsea will likely be Caicedo's club next season, if the next twenty-four hours are anything like this he could end up absolutely anywhere.
