Jayson Molumby's career is certainly on the up. At 21-years old, he has come on in leaps and bounds over the last 18 months or so.
He starred under Stephen Kenny for the Republic of Ireland U21s, captaining the side and putting in some big performances in the Euro qualifying campaign. The midfielder was hugely impressive on loan at Millwall last season and would recently be rewarded with a first senior international cap.
Despite this, his immediate future at Brighton seemed somewhat uncertain.
The Premier League side have a deep squad, with a number of options in midfield. Molumby has yet to feature this season and has been linked with another loan spell at Millwall. The player himself also admitted earlier this month that he needed to have first team over the coming months.
It appears as though he may get it at the Amex.
Eyebrows were raised when Molumby was not included in the Brighton team for the Carabao Cup win over Preston earlier this week, with the fixture seeming like the ideal occasion to get him some game time.
It has now emerged he did not take part in this game as he is set to be included in the team for the Premier League fixture against Manchester United tomorrow. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Brighton manager Graham Potter hinted Molumby would be involved.
I think people have put two and two together a little bit because he (Molumby) wasn't involved at Preston. But Jayson's got some fantastic attributes and great qualities.

Midfielder Yves Bissouma is suspended for the game, opening up a place in the midfield. Molumby is likely to be battling with Davy Propper for a place in the side, with the Dutchman only recently returning from injury.
A good performance in that game could go a long way to securing extended playing time at Brighton this season.
The club have sold Dale Stephens to Burnley, with the English midfielder making 33 Premier League appearances last season. With Adam Lallana the only midfielder to arrive at the club this summer, that leaves the potential for Molumby to fill the gap left by the 31-year old.
