It's safe to say that the Evan Ferguson hype train has well and truly left the station.
Ireland fans have been aware of the Brighton striker's potential since his underage performances, but now that the Bettystown native is ripping up the Premier League, the UK media are finally coming around to the buzz around Ferguson.
Over the past few weeks, the former St. Kevin's Boys striker has been singled out in a number of segments on Match of the Day and Sky Sports with pundits lauding the performances of the 18-year-old.

Last week, during an episode of Saturday Social on Sky Sports, the panel on the show ranked the ten best youngsters in the Premier League. Evan Ferguson was ranked in the A category alongside Bukayo Saka, ahead of the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Stefan Bajcetic and Wilfried Gnonto.

Evan Ferguson reacts to Erling Haaland stat comparison
This week, Sky Sports showed a graphic of the players in the Premier League with the best goal contributions per minutes played.

Only Erling Haaland has a better goal contributions rate than Evan Ferguson and after this stat was shown to the Brighton man, he had a great response.
It's not bad is it? It's not bad. Them stats don't lie. I'll keep going.
After the presenter mentioned the special season that Erling Haaland is having, Ferguson replied with a comment that shows the mentality and maturity he possesses at such a young age.

It's a response that not many teenagers in their breakout season in the Premier League would possibly give, considering that Haaland is on course to break a number of goalscoring records before the end of the season.
Given the fact that Evan Ferguson has started just six Premier League games this season, scoring four times and assisting twice, there's no doubt that the best is yet to come.
