This week's Monday Night Football on Sky Sports featured Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville discussing the weekend's highest scoring Manchester derby of all-time, with Jamie Carragher expertly breaking down the performance of Erling Haaland.
While most praise has gone towards the finishing ability and movement of Haaland, Carragher focused on the mental impact the striker has on opponents, and the fear he strikes into players.
Carragher then went onto compare Haaland to Thierry Henry, whom the former Liverpool stalwart said was the only player he ever feared, and described how this fear would affect his game.
"It's not just his numbers, but the impact he's having on defenders mentally," Carragher stated. "I think defenders and players, up and down the country, would have been into their training grounds today or tomorrow morning, and they'll be talking about Erling Haaland.
How do you stop him? Southampton have got them this week, Liverpool the week after. There's no doubt when Henry first came on the scene, or even Cristiano Ronaldo, you'd be going to players, you'd be talking to players 'wow did you that goal? How are you going to stop him?' And I think mentally, already after eight games in the Premier League, he's in people's heads.
Carragher then highlighted certain moments from the match when players backed off Haaland to cover the space in front of him, which gave himself and City's midfield ample space to work in.

Following his hat-trick grabbing performance, which has left him on 14 goals from 8 games in the Premier League, Haaland spoke to the BBC about the game.
"I've never scored three hat-tricks in three home games before. It's amazing.
"Confidence is good, it's always been good. After the Community Shield against Liverpool, it was still good. It was good that this match happened and I just have to be ready. I felt a couple of days before the game that something special was going to happen and some special things happened so it's nice."
