The Leeds United emotional rollercoaster picked up right where it left off last season. After conceding in the sixth minute to Wolves, Leeds battled back to win 2-1, though the game will likely be best remembered for a heated argument between managers Bruno Lage and Jesse Marsch.
TV cameras couldn't help but pick up the two gaffers involved in a heated debate moments after the fulltime whistle. Bruno Lage, in particular, was irate.

Speaking after the game, Marsch was eager to play down any tensions.
"It was nothing, I just had a quick word with Bruno Lage afterwards. I have a lot of respect for him and the way his team plays."
However in his press conference after the game, Lage shed some light on what had him so incensed. According to Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post, Lage overheard Marsch say something 'you cannot say' during the first half of the match.
Lage says he heard something in the first half from Marsch that, in his opinion, you 'cannot say' so didn't accept the apology but asks the media not to make a big deal of it. We won't, of course...Ends by congratulating Leeds, the fans etc for the win, no issue with the result.

Here is the entire quote from Bruno Lage furnished by Leeds Live:
Nothing against the manager. They won. Played great, but there was a point in the first half I did not like him saying something. When he tried to apologise. In my opinion, there are some things you cannot say. Leeds win and congratulations to them. Today, we lived amazing moment, good atmosphere to come here and play the way we want to play.
It was not the first argument between the managers during the match. Words were exchanged in the first half when Hwang Hee-chan was fouled in front of the Leeds bench in the first half.
The highlight of the argument was watching Leeds players Archie Gray and Liam Cooper have a laugh at the whole thing.

An own goal from Ait Nouri ultimately would give Leeds United the victory.
