Following from 2016’s series of gigs, Jameson Bow St Sessions are back on January 26th 2017! Presented by Jameson and supported by Hot Press, Bow St Sessions are a series of unique live shows that celebrate unexpected and original collaborations in Irish music. Bow St Sessions returns to Dublin, to the intimate surroundings of The Sugar Club. The line-up will see three bands who have made a serious mark on the Irish music scene over the last year.
Topping the bill on the night are Booka Brass, who have quickly gained a reputation as one of the country’s must-see live acts thanks to their unrelenting energy on stage.
Next on the line up are BARQ, who burst onto the scene in 2015 with their brand of “agro-soul”, led by dynamic front woman Jess Kavanagh. Their debut single, Gentle Kind of Lies was added to Spotify’s new music playlist in the UK, and they have been gigging and picking up new fans ever since.
Soulé will also be making her Bow St Sessions début in January, bringing her soulful voice backed with electronic and drum & bass beats. Her first single Love No More has amassed over 150,000 streams on Spotify and is set to keep rising.
Keeping with Bow St Sessions custom, all acts will perform live, before coming together for a unique, exclusive collaboration. Past collaborators include Maverick Sabre & Dublin Gospel Choir and Wyvern Lingo & Pleasure Beach, who took audiences by surprise when they joined forces, live on stage.
