The good folks at Harolds Cross racecourse invited us down for a night at the dogs and we tried everything from picking a winner based purely on the name, to interviewing the dogs themselves.
Another thing we were invited to try was live race commentary, and after absolutely no practise runs or training of any kind, I was thrown in at the deep end and asked to call the second last race of the night.
It didn't go well.
We also spoke to Michael Fortune, one of Ireland's best commentators, on what it takes to make a good commentator.
If you're thinking about going to Harold's Cross we'd recommend their deal of the month offer. €10 will get you admission to the stadium, a race programme, a burger and a bottle of beer. We'd also recommend making sure to back dogs whose names are great for shouting when things get really exciting
