When World Snooker are suggesting that the award for shot of the tournament be wrapped up early, you know it's a good one.
And that's exactly what happened in the World Championship at The Crucible on Thursday night as Shaun Murphy took on Ronnie O'Sullivan.
With Murphy trailing Ronnie by three frames to one early on he faced a tricky situation with only one red being able to be reached, but rather than play it safe, he used three cushions in a ridiculously risky shot. Using barely believable wizardry he nailed it and left the commentators in disbelief.
Shall we just give out Shot of the Championship now? ?
Unbelievable shot from @Magician147! #ilovesnooker @Betfred pic.twitter.com/mLe4raRIaw— World Snooker (@WorldSnooker1) April 20, 2017
Sublime.
They don't call him 'The Magician' for nothing! Those watching at home were naturally loving it.
?considering his opponent and tournament, not sure I've seen a better shot than this since Higgins blue v White in 82. Bravo @Magician147 https://t.co/uVqwOzYcdB
