The PDC World Championships is into it's third day at Alexandra Palace, London, with Phil 'The Power' Taylor cruising into the second round with an emphatic victory over Chris Dobey last night.
Limerick's Willie O'Connor who made his first appearance at the Championships was in action against Steve Beaton on Thursday, the opening night, but it turned out to be a frustrating night for the Irishman, at one stage missing 16 consecutive doubles to lose 3-1.
Today it was Fermanagh's Brendan Dolan's turn to keep the Irish interest flowing as he took on Scotland's Robert Thornton.
However it was not be for the man dubbed 'The History Maker,' as Thornton cruised to a 3-1 victory and progress to the second round.
Dolan did have some joy though, checking out for a 107, however that was as good as it got as Thornton claimed the following two sets to secure victory.

Although the Fermanagh man was dumped out, let's take the time to watch the greatest ever 9-dart finish Dublin has ever seen by none other than Brendan Dolan.
He hit the first ever live double in double out 9-darter in the semi final of the 2011 World Grand Prix in City West Hotel, Dublin.
