Premier League Darts is in Newcastle tonight and, as ever, the standard of darts on show has been nothing short of astounding.
With Michael van Gerwen taking on Gary Anderson, the fifth leg was set up to break the 2-2 deadlock in a tight opening to their tie.
Hitting back-to-back 180s, van Gerwen looked set to take that fifth leg in style; the nine-dart finish well and truly on.
Getting his 7th dart right, the Dutch man slipped up somewhat, nonetheless leaving Anderson with an extremely difficult 170 checkout if he did want to snatch the leg.
Not a bother to him.

Well on top in the PDC's Order of Merit, van Gerwen is the pound-for-pound best player on the planet at this moment in time, and, despite Anderson's heroics in the fifth leg, van Gerwen went on to seal the tie.
That being said, it was Anderson's impressive checkout that captured the imagination tonight.
Darts of the highest quality from MVG and Gary Anderson there 👏👏👏 Gary averaged 110 and lost 7-3, obscene darts #PremierLeagueDarts

Gary Anderson won two world titles when he was almost blind and now he's averaging 114 against MVG with an almost broken back, the greatest sportsman of all time
